Microsoft Build 2025
The Age of AI Agents and the Open Agentic Web
Microsoft revealed it’s new and advance vision for the next phase of the internet at Build 2025. And from this heading you might have guessed it, it’s going to be all about intelligent AI agents that do more than just respond. They are incredible not only do they act, but they also assist, and work across everything you use. And Microsoft is calling it Open Agentic Web.

What are AI Agents?
You could call AI agents as smart digital sidekicks. They are not regular chatbots that only reply to your questions. These agents can actually get stuff done for you. A brief on things that they can do is they can book tickets, manage schedules, sort data, write content, and more.
As of now, Microsoft wants to make these agents available across all your apps, websites, and services. So this way it’s not only limited to making smarter software. But, it is about a smarter internet that helps you complete tasks faster and more efficiently.
Copilot Is Getting More Powerful
You might be aware of Microsoft Copilot from the use of tools such as Word, Excel, and GitHub. An update on Copilot was given at Microsoft Build 2025, it’s going to get a major boost with something called Copilot Runtime. Furthermore, you can take a look at how Copilot makes Windows 11 easier, faster, and smarter to use every day.
What exactly is the update? Copilot can now work even more deeply inside your app, it’s got the ability to do so. Let’s take an instance with one of your documents. It’s not only going to suggest text to it, but has got the ability now to edit documents, update your calendar, or pull fresh information from the web. And the best part? It can do it across all of your devices and services.
Additionally, they have also introduced Team Copilot. What this feature does is it brings Copilot into group spaces such as meetings, shared documents, and chats. So this way it can help your whole team stay organized, take notes, assign tasks, and follow up.
Making Coding Easier with AI
Microsoft is now transforming how developers write code. GitHub Copilot is becoming a full AI coding agent. What it does is it runs tasks in the background and help developers build faster and smarter. Furthermore, Microsoft is adding more features such as prompt management and security tools, to make coding more efficient. Interestingly, recently, OpenAI Launched Codex the AI Agent That Can Write and Run Code Inside ChatGPT.
Tools for AI Builders
There are various tools that developers can utilize. Like with Windows AI Foundry, developers can now train and run AI models on their own computers or through the cloud. How convenient! Furthermore, Azure AI Foundry is also expanding very quickly and to a vast scale. It not only lets users choose from thousands of models, test them, but also let’s them use tools like the Model Leaderboard and Model Router. This way they can get the best results for any task.
Custom Agents for Microsoft 365
What’s really cool is the fact that copilot Tuning lets businesses train their own agents using company data and workflows. So, these agents can now even perform specific tasks like writing legal documents in the company’s tone. Additionally, these new tools also allow multiple agents to work together when there’s complex work to be done, all inside Microsoft 365.
AI for Science and Discovery
The updates don’t stop here. Microsoft has also introduced Microsoft Discovery, which is a platform that will help scientists and researchers use AI to move faster. From drug development to solving environmental problems, this tool will help push science way forward. See how AI for Drug Development Is Changing the Way We Discover, Test, and Treat right here.
Microsoft Build 2025 revealed powerful new AI features pushing the boundaries of productivity and innovation. Previously this year Samsung has also made some impressive strides in AI development showing the race is heating up across the board take a look.
